Letters to Samuel S. Miner of Maysville, Kentucky; one from his brother Selden Miner, three from George Hunt, and one from A. Binkerd. In a 4 December 1858 letter from Murfreesboro, Tenn., Selden Miner discusses his illness and his prospects for recovery. In 22 December 1858, 14 January and 21 February 1859 letters, Hunt writes from Georgetown, Ky. regarding his college career and other financial matters. On 21 February Hunt notes that he has "commenced labors as a regular pastor" at Stomping Ground, where the congregation numbers 300 whites and 200 blacks. In a 5 August 1859 letter, A. Binkerd inquires about a teaching position at the Baptist Institute of Maysville.
